End of the Quarter is on October 15th. Please have all work completed and turned into your teachers before this date. Junior High and High School students, please check your emails and Powerschool for any assignments that might need to be completed before next week! You got this!

Today was a special day in K-1-2. We were honored to be the recipients of some amazing books titled, "Franklin's Winning Season". Each student got to take home their very own copy to keep and one was donated to our school library of the other students in the school to enjoy. We spent most of our day reading and doing baseball themed activities; we even had a lunch that would be game day approved! We are truly grateful to @theroyalsbaseballfoundation and the @royals for this wonderful opportunity and supporting reading for our students.

McPherson County FFA officer team attended the Lincoln county Cattlemans meeting. Unfortunately, I forgot to take a group or other pictures so enjoy the silly supper photos.

McPherson County FFA junior high members had the opportunity to attend ignite conference. Students learned about various opportunities in FFA and a variety of leadership topics. They had an exciting opportunity to make new connections with others and experience, interactive group activities.

McPherson County FFA members attended a livestock judging clinic/practice contest.

From Wheat Berries to Flour Today, some of our FFA members had the amazing opportunity to tour Niobrara Grain and Milling Company in Valentine. A huge thank you to Sky and Joel for welcoming us in, walking us through each step of the wheat milling process, and sharing your expertise. We learned so much about how raw grain becomes the high-quality protein rich product we use every day! Your time, knowledge, and hospitality made this an unforgettable experience — we appreciate your support of agricultural education!

McPherson County FFA members received some awards today. Eli Brogdon received a red ribbon in the Jr. Division. Cooper Hill 3rd purple, Ashlyn McNutt 5th purple, Jailyn Miller and Bentlie Ebmeier received blue ribbons. Therefore being your 2025 District 9 Livestock Judging JH Division Champions! 🥇🥇🥇🥇

McPherson County Elementary students read an amazing 9,682 minutes in September! 🎉

🌟 Reader of the Month: Congratulations to Reatta Rundback, who read an incredible 2,662 minutes!

👏 A big shoutout to Lee Coker, Lexi Coker, Reatta Rundback, and KayCee Connell for each reading over 1,000 minutes!

🏆 The 4th Grade read the most minutes and earned the Golden Notebook for September!

MCS students are enjoying our new aviation class this semester. They are taking previous knowledge of math and science and utilizing those skills in aviation. They have a simulator that they use to fly anywhere. Our goal is to work with surrounding airports and colleges to explore career paths.
