As we prepare to start the Spring Testing season, please remember to encourage good sleep and eating habits for our students. Also, students will need to have fully charged computers for testing days.
The Nebraska Department of Education and NWEA have released the attached information regarding NSCAS for students in grades 3-8. This is the same assessment series that our students take in Fall and Winter, the only change is that their Spring scores are reported to the State Department.
Spring Assessment Schedule:
Tuesday, March 25 - ACT (all Juniors)
Monday, April 7 - Friday, April 11 - MAP/NSCAS @ High School (grades 7-11)
Tuesday, April 15 - Thursday, April 17 - MAP/NSCAS @ Elementary (grades K-6)


I still need 8-9 people to help, students welcomed to help. 1 timer and the rest would be scorekeepers. Let Mrs. Florea know if you are able to help, 308-587-2262. We are going over all of the information at 8 with help, competition starts at 9:30.


The McPherson County Speech Team competed in the district tournament today. I am proud of the students' tireless efforts, determination, and growth, both individually and as a team. Commendable job, students! Your dedication has paid off.
Isaac and Jackson's duet won 5th place medals.
Nevaeh and Addie's duet narrowly missed the finals.
Isaac Goosey took second place in extemp and will represent the team at the state level.











If you cannot stay for awards at District Speech, they will be streaming it. Here is the information:
The Wallace Striv team is planning to stream the awards ceremony. I cannot predict the time exactly- as early as 5:30.

Are you into trivia? We could use your help! We need a few more volunteers on Friday, March 21 at the high school for the MNAC High School and Junior High Quiz Bowl tournament. We will go over rules and training at 8:00 a.m. with the competition to start at 9:30 a.m. Lunch will be provided. Contact Ms. Choat or Mrs. Florea at the school for more information. 308-587-2262.


Tomorrow, March 18th, we will leave the school at 7:30 for the district speech. We will be competing at Wallace High School. All speech kids need to bring professional dress, binders, food or money, and positive attitudes. The first round starts at 10:00 a.m.
