JH FFA members had the opportunity to attend State Convention. Klaire Ward participated in the Ag Literacy LDE! All JH members participated in quiz bowl and the UNL Middle School Event to learn about future career opportunities!





Students participated in the living to serve project “Mercy Meals”. Mercy Meals is an entity that packs dry ingredients for people in need, domestically within the United States and overseas throughout the world. As food may be delivered anywhere, Mercy Meals upholds the Department of Health standards. The meals packaged through this event went specifically to the refugees from Ukraine.

FFA members attended NE State FFA Convention. They competed in a variety of contests, attended workshops, listened to LDE speeches, and attended general sessions.





It was windy, but the freshmen enjoyed hiding eggs for our Easter egg hunt!

Staff members had their final professional development day with ESU 16 for the year. They learned some great strategies for the classroom.

Spring is moving along. Many activities this week. We are testing, students need healthy foods and plenty of rest to do their very best!


The sophomore class attended the 13th annual "Youth and Science Field Day" at the UNL West Central Research and Education Extension Center in North Platte on Monday April 4th. Students were introduced to a variety of topics in both agricultural and biological sciences such as riverbed erosion, pest prevention, ruminant digestion, and entomology.





Good morning! Health screenings for students in K-4, 7th, 10th will be Monday, April 11. Letters with information were sent home with students last week. If you chose for your child not to participate, please return the bottom of the letter and documents by April 8.


Don't forget early dismissal on Wednesday!
