The FFA Chapter and Ag Leadership students are participating in the Farm Bureau Connecting Chapters Program. One component of the program is to teach youth about agriculture. Students will match farm animals with their young, learn the proper terminology for males, females, and baby animals, identify the products each farm animal produces, and learn basic facts about how animals are cared for on a farm. Agvocating for agriculture!

McPherson County FFA Chapter attended the Nebraska Cattlemen’s Classic. Students were given a topic in the morning in which they worked together to develop a short presentation from conversations they had with vendors and cattle producers! The topic this year was “How has COVID-19 impacted/affected your operation or business?”. Students had the opportunity to network with people involved in the agriculture industry as well as watch the cattle breed shows! We had the youngest team compete in the contest and I’m proud of them for stepping up to the challenge!
