Students in grades 7-12 listened to a Holocaust Memorial presented by Peter Metzelaar. He talked about his experiences surviving and hiding as a child during WWII. He concluded his presentation to the students about having tolerance. "Everyone is the same on the inside and take from your education on how you can help the next group of people to make this a better world."


Join us for some Easter fun!

Students in 7th-grade science conducted a hands-on investigation to gather evidence about properties. This investigation will help students determine whether substances can change into other substances. After the experiment, they will explore Laboratory mode in the Simulation. They used this mode to observe that substances can change into different substances at the atomic scale.




Spring has sprung. We are heading into our final season of activities this school year.

We are getting our NETA on and gathering some wonderful information to bring back to our staff and students!

McPherson County students in grades 10-12 had the opportunity to be trained in situations that involve severe trauma by Trudy Merritt from WCDH. F.A.S.T or first aid for severe trauma is a free course that allowed students hands on experiences in case they are ever faced in a situation of severe trauma. Thank you Ms. Merritt for your expertise and the trauma kits we may use at our school.

With the snow on the ground, junior high track will practice in Tryon today. They will be done at the end of school at 3:30. No late practice today, 3-9-23.
The McPherson County Speech Team is state bound! We worked hard this week, catching up on practices and spending time polishing entries, and it all paid off at the D2-6 Speech District Competition today. Our speech team went to finals in all eight of our events. I could not be prouder of these awesome kids! As a team, we placed 3rd, and almost our entire team qualified for state.

today in shop class, we are trying to usher in spring by building folding campstools


7th & 8th grade ag students learned about lettuce harvest and help with the first cutting. They even were able to enjoy a delicious fresh salad!










Intro to Ag students had a great opportunity to learn about the process of working piglets. They even had the opportunity to get hands on in working a litter of piglets! Thank you to Arlis Blake for the experiential opportunity!!









HS Quiz Bowl competed at MNAC! They had a tough fought final round and lost in sudden death to earn a 4th place finish!







Junior High Track practice will start Tuesday, February 28. Remember to bring indoor running shoes. Coaches will let you know more details on Tuesday for other equipment needed.
