The McPherson County Speech Team will compete at the NSAA District Competition on Friday at the Wallace High School. All students must bring money or food, professional dress, and speech binders to the competition. We will be leaving the school at 7:30.
McPherson County FFA chapter held their monthly meeting last week during lunch!
Juniors listened to a couple NAYC guest speakers, Caleb Most and Caleb Burnside. They discussed opportunities the NAYI conference provides and answered any student questions!
Today the Sophomores had an opportunity to attend Connecting the Dots hosted by ESU 16 and UNL Extension Office. They were able to explore many career opportunities and make networking connections. It was a full day of exploration!

McPherson County competed at MNAC academic quiz bowl. The JH had some tough matches today. They ended today with a 3-6 record.
High school were MNAC 3rd place finishers 🥉🏅with a record of 7-3! Great work students!
Due to small attendance, the Student Council dance will be canceled, March 16, 2024
Quarter 4 is starting off as a very busy week for our students. Good luck at all of your competitions this week!
Reminder the front entry will be under constructions from March 11-16. Students, please park in the east parking lot. Teachers park in the west. All visitors will need to come through the east doors.

On Wednesday, the sophomores presented on the book Night and what they had learned from their Holocaust study.
The freshman class presented their The Boy in the Striped Pajamas slideshows on Wednesday.
Due to the severe weather and hazardous driving conditions, McPherson County Schools are closed Friday March 8th, 2024.

Next week we will be hosting a Speech night. Pie and coffee will be served. This is a free will donation as the money collected will go to help offset expenses that the speech department incurs through the season. Come out to support these students and coaches and all of their hard work.
