Last month Mrs. Florea had a fun activity for the junior high and high school students. Today, she prepared some activities for the elementary students. They made "Turkey-copters" and cinnamon slime. It was a gooey fun time.

Today, the McPherson County One-Act Team competed in the Sandhill's Division Play Production Competition and won the championship. Our technical crew received the Best Technical Crew Award. Saije Phelps won Best Actress, and Levi Goosey won Best Supporting Actor. We brought home seven Outstanding Actress/Actor Awards: Brooklynn Fisher, Saije Phelps, Rachael Kemp-Powers, Levi Goosey, Ezekiel Goosey, Hannah Goosey, and Jackson Fisher. I'm incredibly proud of these students and can't wait to see how they finish this season!

Tomorrow, the one-act team will compete at Sandhills High School in Dunning. We will leave the school at 7 a.m. and perform at 10:30 a.m. Make sure to bring costumes, props, food (or money for food), and great attitudes.

North Platte route families, due to being short a bus, if you know by 6:00 am that your child will not be riding, please text 308-636-8479. This will help us determine if we need to bring two vehicles down or one. Thank you for your help.

Winter sports are starting this week! Don't forget all winter sports pictures, junior high and high school on Wednesday. Good luck to FFA and One-Acts this week in your competitions!

JH WRESTLING UPDATE: St Patrick's JH Wrestling invite (Monday, November 18th) has been moved to a 3pm start time.

Students were having fun and calming their nerves before their Veteran's Day performance.

Yesterday, McPherson County Schools hosted their annual tribute to our Veterans. We had many local Veterans attend with their families along with some new Veterans that came to appreciate family members that performed. Thank you for all that you have done for our country. I will post some pictures on this thread, but will be adding more on our McPherson County Facebook page.

Put this on your calendars to come watch this spooky, hilarious, who done it mystery! The students at MCS have been working hard to prepare for the season. Your support is very much appreciated! Free will donation will be taken at the door to help off-set supply costs.

Another busy week at MCS. First off, we want to thank all Veterans for the sacrifices they made to help make this the greatest country. Good luck to all of the MCS and SVM competitors this week in your events.

Reminder that the Veterans Day program is Monday at 10:00. All are welcomed. There will be a community soup luncheon after the program. Please have your student where red, white, or blue. No holes in jeans or pants. No sweats or pajama pants.
