All next week - the Cafe will be closed across the street and they will be serving meals from The Lodge. Students will be allowed to PRE-ORDER food and run over to pickup FOOD only. Any snacks/drinks will need to be purchased from the vending machines. If you would prefer your student not walk over to the Lodge, please let us know. Otherwise please help remind students to pack their lunches accordingly.

📚 New Book Exchange Box Opens at Our Elementary School on Monday!
We’re excited to announce the opening of our new Book Exchange Box, located right outside the main entrance of the elementary. This little library is designed to encourage a love of reading and build a sense of community among our students and families.
The idea is simple: Take a book, leave a book. Students can browse the collection, choose something that interests them, and return it when they’re done—or replace it with a book of their own. The box will be monitored and refreshed to ensure a steady selection of age-appropriate, engaging titles.
We hope this encourages more independent reading, sparks new interests, and gives families an easy way to share the joy of books. Everyone is welcome to participate, and donations of gently used children’s books are always appreciated.

The McPherson County One-Act Team gave its first performance of the year at the Cozad Drama Festival yesterday. All cast and crew performed exceptionally well. Fourteen schools participated, providing our team with valuable experience and growth. I am proud of their dedication and effort. Congratulations to Rachael Kemp and Ezekiel Goosey, who received outstanding acting awards.

Reminder that there is no school on Tuesday, November 18th. We are hosting MNAC Play Production. Teachers will be helping throughout the day. Our students will be performing at 1:00 p.m. If your student is in Student Council, they need to be at the school as they are in charge of the concession stand for the day and everyone needs to help. McPherson County Yearbook students are actively engaged this year. Half are updating the school on local, state, and world news, while the others are focused on sales. All students are developing photography and yearbook design skills.

The McPherson County One-Act Team will perform tomorrow, November 13, at 5 p.m. at Cozad High School. All students should bring a packed lunch or money for concessions. Please remember to bring your costumes, shoes, props, and a positive attitude.
What a wonderful tribute to our Veterans today. Mrs. Bay and Mrs. Anderson had the students in top form. Thank you Ms. Choat, FFA, Mrs. Anderson, and National Honor Society for the delicious meal afterwards. I have a few pictures from today. We will post more at a later time.
Tonight’s one-act practice is canceled due to illness. I hope everyone recovers quickly and gets some rest. We will hold dress rehearsal tomorrow immediately after school.

Junior High science students have been busy this month. Here are some pictures of students working on forces in motion and designing supply pods for their egg drop experiment.
Parents and Guardians as we are getting further into the school year, we are approaching seasonal illnesses such as cold, flu, and hand, foot, and mouth disease. Please remind your students to wash their hands often, especially before eating and after they use the restroom. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or elbow. If your student develops a fever, sore throat, cough, rash, or mouth sores, please keep them home until they are 24-hour fever free without medication and blisters or rashes are starting to heal. Please notify the school if your child is sick. If you have any questions, please contact the school.
