Brackets are out for Sub-Districts Monday. Girls play at 7:00 pm at McDaid Activities Center, North Platte St. Pat's. Theme is Cowboys and Cowgirls, "Let's wrangle the Broncos!"


Girl’s basketball in Wallace tonight has been cancelled due to the extreme cold. The girls play their final regular season game on Saturday in Tryon. Come and support the Lady Longhorns!

Due to expected wind chill temperatures, McPherson County Schools will have a 10:00 start on Thursday, Feb. 7th.

We are staying active inside these cold days. Balloon relays with a twist!

Dino Doers are learning how important our sense of sight is to us. They tried to find the blue block with a blindfold and then they tried to find their desk. We are also learning about all our other senses.

Lady Longhorns got the “W” today against Elba!!! Great game ladies! 38-18

Isabella Arensdorf, 8th grade, takes 3rd place in pencil drawing at the MNAC Junior High Art Show. Well done!


#MCSFFA Sat up fair building and served a meal to beef producers for West-Central NE beef producers. Program provide by UNL EXT.

#MCSFFA #mcstryon FFA members read to K-2 graders the story Tops & Bottoms. A story of a lazy farming bear and hare. As part of NEFB Connecting Chapters program.


The McPherson County Spelling Bee will be held February 5th at 1:00pm in the HS gym. Grades 3-8 will take a written test in the morning and the top half of each class will participate in the oral round in the afternoon. Come support our students while they showcase their spelling skills!

We have been in school 100 days!!! Dino Doers had a day of 100 activities. We did Roll and Read for 100 sec.,. They built 100 piece puzzles. They did a color switch every 100 sec. and they used 100 marshmallow to build a creation. Wow, what a day!!

Due to expected wind chill temperatures, McPherson County Schools will have a 2 hour late start Wednesday. Bus will run accordingly.

Game Thursday in Hyannis is at 6:00ct.
