MCS elementary students participated in fire safety month by touring the McPherson County fire hall. Thank you Ed Black and Jay Powers for educating our students on fire safety.
On Thursday, October 22, the MCS elementary got to meet the newly named snowplow, Snowphie Cunningham! The winning name was submitted by Vyollet Martin, Amelia Kramer, and Reilly Streiff. Their name was one of 16 names picked out of over 2,500 entries. They received a congratulatory letter, NDOT sign, and a book on transportation. Congratulations!

Please take the time to go over bus safety rules with your students. We have gone over bus safety with students, but would like your help to reiterate the rules. If we continue to have problems with students on the bus, they will lose their privilege to ride the bus for a determined amount of time and will need to find another form of transportation to school on those days.

We will be honoring our past and current military members again this year with our "Wall of Honor".

McPherson County FFA rounded out the National FFA Convention supporting our fellow Nebraskans who received their American FFA degree.
Members toured Ozark Fisheries. We were able to see aquaculture in action at Ozark Fisheries’ koi and goldfish farm in Martinsville, Indiana—an engaging, hands-on stop that turns classroom learning into real-world agriculture. This gave the chapter a memorable, photo-worthy look at a working koi and goldfish hatchery—perfect for connecting Supervised Agricultural Experiences, animal science, and agribusiness to real operations.
FFA had the opportunity to tour LabCorp and learn about several careers. Members learn how to apply your scientific curiosity in biology, animal science, zoology, animal behavior, or veterinary technology to pursue advances in animal welfare and research the effectiveness, safety, and toxicity of drugs in early development animal research studies.
Members checked out the cool things members and chapters are doing in the areas of AgriScience Fair, SAEs, National Chapter, Service and more. We were able to gain ideas of projects and community service to implement in our local area.
